Privacy Policy

StreamPi (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a social live-video app that lets creators stream and viewers watch, chat, like, and tip using the Pi Network. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Pi SDK account data (when you log in): Pi username/uid, a signed authentication token (e.g., JWT), and your public wallet address. This comes from the official Pi SDK after you consent.
• Profile & app data you provide: display name, stream titles, messages, likes, and other actions you take inside the app.
• Streaming & usage data: video/audio you broadcast, viewer chat and likes, time of actions, counts/totals (e.g., tips, viewers, likes), and basic device/network information (IP address, browser, device type) captured by our hosting and WebRTC to keep the service secure and working.
• Cookies / local storage: we use local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and improve reliability. We do not use third-party ad trackers.

How we use data

• To authenticate you with the Pi SDK and keep your session active.
• To deliver core features: streaming, watch, chat, likes, tips, leaderboards, and moderation.
• To prevent abuse and ensure security, including rate-limiting, fraud detection, and spam control.
• To comply with legal requirements and enforce our Terms of Service.

Tips, wallet & Pi Network

When you tip a creator, we record the amount, the stream id, and non-sensitive metadata (e.g., time). Transfers occur via the Pi Network according to your Pi settings and Pi’s SDK. We do not store your private keys. Tips are generally non-refundable.

Legal basis (EEA/UK)

Where applicable, we process data on these bases: (i) contract (to provide StreamPi), (ii) legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving service), and (iii) consent (Pi SDK login and any optional features you enable).

Sharing

• Service providers/hosting (e.g., Vercel or similar) that help us run the app. They may process IP addresses and request logs.
• When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and our service.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

Account and stream metadata is kept while your account is active and for a short period after for fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal requirements. Chat messages and streams may be ephemeral or retained as needed for safety and moderation. We aim to keep data no longer than necessary.

Your choices & rights

• You can log out at any time (Pi SDK session ends).
• You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction by emailing streampiteam@gmail.com. We may ask for verification and may retain some data as required by law.
• If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Minors

StreamPi is for users aged 16+ (or older if required in your country). Do not use StreamPi if you are under the applicable age. Absolutely no sexual content involving minors—ever.

Community safety

We may act on reports or signals of harm, hate, harassment, illegal content, sexual exploitation, or other violations. Actions can include stream removal, account suspension, or contacting relevant services when legally required.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in locations where our hosting or service providers operate. We take steps to protect data consistent with this Policy.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Effective date” and may provide additional notice for material updates.
